Yes, continue to apply and take interviews. Nothing is certain until you get a start date.

Concur. Keep applying and doing interviews. Until you are sitting at the job nothing is certain.

If I keep taking interviews, then the next question will be "Can I accept multiple tentative offers from different employers".

        You can accept multiple TO's.

At one time I had 3 tentative offers going. I informed one of the offers thank you but I'll have to decline, my preferred offer got rescinded for my clearance taking to long and thankfully I am now working at my second offer. DO not let them bully you into turning g down open offers every other week they'd ask which offer are you taking. I politely told them I've heard horror stories about offers being withdrawn up go the day before starting I apologize for not making your job any easier but I have to protect my interests and keep as many offers as I have. If I had been backed into a corner I'd of turned down the job I'm at now then lost the position that was rescinded and be right back at square 1

When asked your skill level on applications, don't lie, but also let someone else be the one to tell you your not an expert!

Just to add here....things can come up beyond their control in the hiring process like budget cuts or hiring freezes.
